Newgrounds should have more of this stuff... not only those overrated fast paced techno/trance-ish songs...
Great Song, I wish I could come up with such fast solos. The chage at 7:20 = pwn. About the complex drums (well, not really), you could also use a better drums samples library to get rid of that "machine gun" (again) effect, seeing that you used those snares quite a bit.

"awesome"

At the beginning I felt like it was kinda week and monotonous... to my surprise I was utterly wrong... I find it just awesome how it builds up each time it comes back, totally unexpected. The only thing I did not like were those toms at 2:05 - 2:08 due to the "machine gun" effect. Now, if we could get all real instruments with real percussionists playing this track on stage = pwn. Cirque du Soleil anyone?

"fucking amazing"

Amazing stuff... I wish most of the stuff that ppl call "trance" or "techno" (which usually have big scores) were just a bit closer towards this.... just amazing. Vocals are great, Melody is great, even the transitions are good. Great Work.

"nice :)"

date: July 21, 2009

it sounds kinda like industrial to me... catchy tune, nice beat. Also... I find the fact that God gave you the inspiration to compose for a fight between humans and... machines from underground.... odd xD... Why were there machines in the center of the earth!?? xD

Quite original actually xD... nice summary, nice tune.

It's rare for ppl to experiment with progressive genres... this one is very good... loved from 2:44 to 4:30 specially the change at 3:31... and even though I am usually more fond of prog jazz, prog rock and prog metal, this prog techno song is delicious... it does feel metal... also, you do follow the prog cliches by making a long song with long solos... :D

Great job.

... ambient stuff is your thing... I've been checking your tracks and I've liked your techno songs, but I've loved the ambient tracks, I just like moody song that can easily take some place out of here... keep the good work :D

Sounds of New York City

"nice!"

date: July 17, 2009

Very good... I am just wondering... wut kind of jazz os this?... solos don't stick to the chords played by the piano on the background... it sounds kinda acid jazz?... free jazz?... the organ sounds as if the player is improvising letting himself get away from the melody, then letting the horns get the melody back :P...

If I am correct, you stick to only 2 chords the whole song... maybe adding a couple more (and some of them with their solos) would make the song richer... 'tis wut I would do :D.... I loved the track anyway... I dig the drum beat

July 17, 2009

Author's Response:

I'm not sure what kind of jazz this is. I want to call it fusion but it's not rock enough. It's just jazz! lol

Yeah, only two chords. But my intention was to put focus on the rhythm of everything going on since the rhythms are programmatic, as I explain in the description.

Glad you liked it!

The echo-ish meows could be a good start xD
