proggie... :3

It's rare for ppl to experiment with progressive genres... this one is very good... loved from 2:44 to 4:30 specially the change at 3:31... and even though I am usually more fond of prog jazz, prog rock and prog metal, this prog techno song is delicious... it does feel metal... also, you do follow the prog cliches by making a long song with long solos... :D

Great job.

yup...

... ambient stuff is your thing... I've been checking your tracks and I've liked your techno songs, but I've loved the ambient tracks, I just like moody song that can easily take some place out of here... keep the good work :D

Thanks, review some of my other stuff. I wanna know what you think! :D

nice!

Very good... I am just wondering... wut kind of jazz os this?... solos don't stick to the chords played by the piano on the background... it sounds kinda acid jazz?... free jazz?... the organ sounds as if the player is improvising letting himself get away from the melody, then letting the horns get the melody back :P...

If I am correct, you stick to only 2 chords the whole song... maybe adding a couple more (and some of them with their solos) would make the song richer... 'tis wut I would do :D.... I loved the track anyway... I dig the drum beat

adompeace responds:

I'm not sure what kind of jazz this is. I want to call it fusion but it's not rock enough. It's just jazz! lol

Yeah, only two chords. But my intention was to put focus on the rhythm of everything going on since the rhythms are programmatic, as I explain in the description.

Glad you liked it!

I agree

badass bass... very catchy...

great song

I love the mood and the change...

well well...

... 1:20 of pads and drops does not sound that tiring anymore when you have a longer main melody afterwards... now it's a long intro :) and fits the mood...

You see, in the former track, the piano kinda sounded like the main melody but it lasted very few seconds so it was kinda annoying in the "needs more melody" sense... this extended version does have more "form", so to say... :)

Good Job :)

LavitzSlambert responds:

yayz ^^ thank you. you make my day! ^^
I'll try not to make the same mistake in the future =P

great

great stuff... rhode-ish/bell-ish keybs with reverb and delay always do the trick for spacy tunes ;)... plus your slow beat, it's just great.. 10/10 5/5 Faved :D

tijnn responds:

Woot, thanks for another kind review! And i must say yeah, sine shapes are the shit for ambient no matter what you do with it hehe.

Thanks!

O_o

to me it sounds more like... dunno... like a manufacturing plant of some sorts in a very distant future with a very advanced technology >_>.... all that... xD

drippy

while this track might be useful in an animation... 1:20 of pads and drops with no melody is kinda tiring... you might want to use that as a base and create a tune just like you did starting 1:30... with further development of course..

LavitzSlambert responds:

I guess I could do something more developped with this, but I only have the demo of Fl studio, which means I have to do it all over again T_T. The way I thought, The pads were sort of the melody in the song, but you make me realise they sound too "background".

thx for the comment ^^

this is good

deserves further development, so far it's good :)
